Cell Phone Events

Coming with our next release is the ability for users to publish phone invitations. Users can plan an event in advance, or at the spur of a moment using the phone invitation service offered by Phone Events. The phone invitation service allows users to publish events to their personal network of friends, or to the general public. Phone invitations can be sent from your phone, or using phoneevents.com on your computer.

One of the most useful features any local service can offer is the ability to provide real time awareness of events at popular venues which are local. Our next release will give users the ability to choose their favorite venues as part of their preference profile. With these choices, users will be able to make their favorite venues part of what we define as MerchantListings. These listings will enable users to have in hand all scheduled events at their favorite locales. Additionally, merchantlistings will be dynamic, updating in sync with the time and date, and transactional so that users may purchase tickets.

This functionality will be part of our next release along with mobile tickets.

Many companies today are emphasizing location as the primary offering of their mobile application or service. EventMobile is no different with its’ phone events offering, however location is not the primary value proposition. Event information is the core value proposition of phone events, whereas location is a function. Our service let’s you select any city where you are present to select and view preferential event information. Additionally, you can view any city whether or not your presently in the city of choice. This design difference not only makes it possible for you to view and plan to attend events in cities that you will be visiting, but the design also allows more flexible functional use when it comes to maps, ticket purchases, and planning events which require invites to your personal network.

We have received a lot of questions from users asking what carriers are supported, and will phone events work on a given type of cell phone. Though these questions seem complicated, they have very simple answers. Phone events works with all carriers including Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltel, US Cellular, Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and more. If your carrier offers internet access, you can access phone events as no downloads are required.

Regarding phone types, phone events works on all phones which are capable of accessing the internet. Again, no downloads to your cell phone are required to use phone events, you simply have to point your browser to phoneevents.mobi, and mark it as a favorite.

If you have an Apple iPhone, a phone with the Opera Mini browser, or some other phone that makes it easy to use a regular .com site, then you can point your phone’s browser to phoneevents.com and mark it as your favorite. You can also point your browser to phoneevents.mobi which will work equally as well.

Hopefully, this will answer any other questions users have regarding carrier access and phone use.

A quick update on our progress towards deploying mobile ticketing services. We’re on track to release more than $1 billion dollars of tickets available for purchase to many local events covering sports, concerts, theater, and more. You’ll be able to purchase 1 or more tickets based upon the merchant or seller’s criteria. What is particularly great about the Phone Events ticketing service is that you’ll always be able to check any upcoming event for ticket availability, even if the event is sold out. You simply will need to mark the event, or the event venue as a favorite and ticket availability will continuously update.

Expect Phone Events ticket services to go live on the 8th of July.

Tickets to Madonna’s upcoming Sticky & Sweet Tour are hot with sell outs in Paris, London, New York, Boston, and Chicago already recorded. The tour kicks off August 23rd in Cardiff, Wales and is promoting her latest album “Hard Candy”. Tickets are on sale for $55 to $350 dollars at Live Nation.

“Hard Candy” debuted at #1 this month with the release of “4 Minutes” which was co-written and co-produced by Madonna, Timbaland, and Justin Timberlake.

Janet Jackson will open her first tour in seven yearson September 10 in Vancouver, British Columbia. Tour dates include performances in New York and Washington DC. Tickets go on sale on June 7 for what Janet Jackson promises to be a performance in line with her past tour productions. Expect Janet Jackson tickets to be hot and hard to get.

3 Doors Down dropped their self titled album today along with announcing their upcoming tour dates that will also feature Staid and Hinder. The tour opens July 9th in Maryland Heights, Missouri, and ends September 7th in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. The tour dates are planned with flexibility to add more shows if they have sell outs. Believe it or not, ticket prices start at $25 for all venues.
